Basenji's of outstanding breed type and personality
Isis (my first basenji) and Nugget ..both have gone over the rainbow bridge.
Berimo Basenjis are located in Jasper, TX ( north east of Houston) I've been breeding quality basenjis since 1989. Have had basenjis in the family since 1968 but my first very own basenji was in 1986. Started out in obedience in 1987 with Isis who was not show quality but did get single points. She was a decent one to have in obedience. Got her CD. Having experienced the show ring peaked my desire to get a show quality puppy. Went on to conformation in 1989 with my first show quality dog (Pacer). Then I was hooked. (Thanks to Brenda Cassel and Erin Roberts) Since starting a breeding program there have been several Specialty winners including the # 1 basenji (Fletcher) in 1994. Now the grandpups and great grandpups are winning Nationals and specialties and up in the top 10. It is a pleasure to see them doing so well.
In a breeding program I strive for good health and great temperaments.
